ScopingHigh Philosophies

Our High Scope curriculum is connected to multiple theories and philosophies. How so? you might ask well starting with the most important theory at ScopingHighLearners is Vygotsky's sociocultural theory. We value active learning and scaffolding which help emphasize social interaction and cultural learning in all of our different age groups. The High Scope theory itself which is teacher-child interaction and active participatory learning. Our last theory is Piaget's as he researched that cognitive development goes through distinctive stages as a child grows and their thinking becomes more nuanced and clearer.
